Lithium Battery Indicators

Battery Monitoring

Lithium Battery Indicators and Coulomb Counters

SOLISE offers a range of lithium battery indicators designed to display the battery’s state of charge or remaining capacity.

Depending on the model, the estimate is based on the current flowing into and out of the battery or directly on its voltage.

Operating Principles

How Do Lithium Battery Indicators Work?

Two methods can be used to estimate a battery’s state of charge: current measurement and voltage measurement.

Current Measurement

What Is Measured Current Flowing Into and Out of the Battery

The indicator measures the current flowing into the battery during charging and out of the battery during use, calculating the amount of charge transferred over time.

What It Provides More Accurate Remaining Capacity Tracking

This method helps monitor changes in the battery’s state of charge and estimate the remaining operating time.

Voltage Measurement

What Is Measured Battery Voltage

The indicator directly measures the voltage across the battery terminals.

What It Provides A Simple State-of-Charge Estimate

The measured voltage provides an indication of the battery’s state of charge.
